Welcome to SEA SPICE
A vibrant restaurant combining coastal Suffolk produce with exotic Indian cooking and local craft beer at the White Lion Hotel.
Facing the sea in Aldeburgh, there’s a door off Market Place, close to the entrance of our hotel, which leads into the richly welcoming interior of Sea Spice, where the air is rich with the scent of exotic spices.
Honouring the breadth and complexities of Indian cooking, Sea Spice offers an array of regional dishes from Goan inspired sea-food dishes, to tandoor grilled meats and traditional fragrant curries. Head Chef Pratap Singh Rawat makes the very best of Aldeburgh’s fantastic positioning for daily caught fish and local organic producers. Feast on freshly caught Aldeburgh lobster dressed in a fragrant Masala gravy or savour the organic Sutton Hoo chicken, layered with aromatic spices and a clean cucumber riata in the Dum biryani.
In celebration of the burgeoning craft-beer scene, there is an edited menu of craft beers and ales, chosen specifically to complement the contemporary menu at Sea Spice. Many are local, such as from Adnams, as well from further afield including Bavarian Weissbier as well as some specialist beers from California and Japan.
Mondays: Closed, except for August 15th and 29th
Tuesday to Sunday: 12 noon – 3pm, 5.30pm – 10pm
