Farewell Mrs Jean Cady

Mrs Jean Cady retires from the White Lion Hotel today after 21 years as our much loved Breakfast Supervisor. She has endeared herself to staff and guests alike with her engaging personality and cheeky laughter. You certainly knew what Jean was thinking, shyness was not a restriction she suffered.
Personally, I sincerely thank Jean for her devotion to the White Lion and wish both her and husband Peter all the very best for their retirement.

Here at the White Lion, Christmas is a special time which we again are fortunate to be sharing with many of our valued guests. I thank everyone who has braved the elements to join us this year and welcome them to our 2009 Christmas celebration.
To all our White Lion friends who cannot be with us, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a joyous Christmas.
A heartfelt mention must also go to Mr and Mrs Liston who unfortunately cannot not be with us this year. All the team wish you both the very best for this festive season and a swift recovery.

We are extrememly lucky to be based in such a wonderful location, and now that the Winter season is upon us we are all preparing for the Christmas festivities.
We've got a lot of fun activities planned for Christmas and the New Year here at the White Lion, parties and guests staying for a well-earned break over the festive holidays.
Pat, our Head Chef, is busily planning for all the wonderful meals we'll have on offer and trying us out on a few new recipes too.
